Dr Suzanne Palmer is a lecturer in Coral Reef Ecology at the University of the West Indies Mona Campus. Suzanne gained a PhD in Coral Reef Geosciences (2009) on coral reefs located on the inner shelf of the Great Barrier Reef, Australia specifically investigating coral reefs growing in turbid waters, coral palaeoecology, reef sedimentology and diagenesis. Since 2010 she has been working in Jamaica on a range of environmental and climate change research projects including work on the mangrove lagoons in Hellshire, coral reefs within the Portland Bight Protected Area, and most recently coral nurseries in Discovery Bay and Alligator Head. Suzanne currently leads on the coral restoration and coral reef monitoring at the Alligator Head Marine Lab.
